Have worked together since 1998, with solo exhibitions at galleries in Berlin (1993), London (1992, 1996) and Moscow. Have participated in numerous group exhibitions in Russia and abroad.

Chicks exist in order to be gobbled up. Even if some are not gobbled up, then their eggs are, killing the young unfledged cockerels, which are not needed for producing eggs. These chicks are not even gobbled up, but are processed into mixed fodder and are given as food to their kin, which then are gobbled up. Yes, the chick is not only dietary grub, but also valuable fluff and feathers – they are slept upon and worn.

You are useful, you are needed by the society!
Nothing will be wasted!
The society loves you and will gobble you up with pleasure!
Nationalism – is love of one’s own nation!
BE PROUD THAT YOU ARE A CHICK!

The project is a video-documentary of a performance in which two people, in chick costumes, who, using chicken’s carcasses, are printing a poster on which there is an image of chickens and the caption “Be proud that you are a chick”. The aim of this project is to study the problem of totalitarianism and nationalism in contemporary society.
