Dmitry Tsvetkov

The project I’m proud!

The Russia of the last decade has been searching for and creating new symbols and regalia. Getting off its knees and standing at its full height, Russia dresses up in coats of arms, mottos, military stripes, aiguillettes. New Iliya Muromets, Sadkos and Nestors-chroniclers are appearing here. The imperial entourage is important now as never before, there is no national idea, but the double-headed eagle is already soaring. I am a Russian artist, totally devoid of even a touch of the marginal underground and unnecessary non-conformism. I love the groves on your outskirts, Moscow, and the bridges over your river, I love your Red Square and the sound of the Kremlin bells. That’s why I create new artistic symbols of Russia. My coats of arms vary not because of the republics, but because of peoples’ occupations. My braziers combine the healthy power and spiritual origins of the people. My suits fit the bodies of the people’s leaders, underline their beauty and courageousness. I am a tailor of the authorities, with a measuring tape on my neck and pins in my mouth, I take measurements of jodhpurs, coats of arms and double-headed eagles. I am proud of my calling. I’m proud.
