My project is called “Total Prayer.” It is my attempt to both understand the spiritual beauty and culture of Islam and to consider the problems arising from the rapid spread of Islam across the world. A particularly acute problem is the relationship between the West and Islam. Western hopes that millions of immigrants from Islamic countries would integrate into their society, assimilate and accept the laws and values of their life have been disappointed. Islam is still growing, not only thanks to ethnic Muslims, and no longer fits inside mosques. Due to a shortage of mosques, believers have flooded the city streets, turning them into the torrents of a total prayer. Here clashes with other ethnic cultures become inevitable and can grow into open confrontations. The question is how we can arrive at mutual understanding, respect and love. Only we can find answers to this question, but only if we want to. God willing, we will have the patience and love to realize that and to love each other.
