Has participated in exhibitions in Moscow and Vienna and in a special project for the 2nd Moscow Biennale (2007). Received special prizes at the Silver Camera contest (2003, 2004, 2005).
Проект Буквально переносно (Totalrealism)
The era of art-photography has come. Realistic painting and other similar hand-made fine art practices will finally exhaust their historical mission of reflecting the visible world, transforming, in practice, into insignificant art-crafts, decoratively-applied arts and exchangeable fetishes. There has never been in the history of Art such a chance, as now, using brilliant new means, to embody the timeless Big realistic project with a central work — a realistic photo-picture made in the photographic technique. The world lacks a large scale system-forming realistic project. It should come into being as an alternative to the corrupt masks of contemporary culture, the American-sewage-ization and outrageousness.
The stability and vitality of the system are in need of the dialectic unity of two worlds, conventionally: the figuratively-realistic and imageless-formalistic.
What is coming in the sphere of Art is the global struggle for the review of artistic values and the turn from the domination of extremely overvalued commercially-corrupt imageless visual enterprises of the art-show-business, (simulate-cracy, glamo-pathy, false-art, rubbish-art, bla-bla-art…) to figurative, realistic art — truthfulness, vitality, humanity.Realistic art-photography is capable of leading this life-asserting humanistic process.
