Obscure light
A child’s scribbles or the shaky hand of an old man represent the boundary beyond which the meaning of the written word is lost – the message which the writer was trying to convey to us remains indecipherable. Hazy symbols, the secret writing which we strain our eyes trying to make out are beyond the borders of the discernible. The installation is made of rubber scribbles on a black wall, lit by an unearthly light creating a flickering, illegible text which tells of a return to paradise, to utopia – a text which we are despairingly trying to read throughout our life.
