The VIII exhibition of the Kandinsky Prize nominees

The exhibition of the Kandinsky Prize 2014 nominees has been opened at Udarnik on September, 17, 2014. The event presents the broad range of trends in Russian contemporary art — in photography, painting, installation art and media projects. Total amount of 35 works are on display: 18 in the Project of the Year nomination, 12 in The Young Artist. Project of the Year nomination, and 5 in the new nomination called Scholarly Work. History and Theory of Contemporary Art.

Famous artists, art collectors, people from art community and businessmen attended the opening ceremony. Among them were Zurab Tsereteli, Mark Garber, Leonid Blavatnik, Mikhail Kamensky, Mikhail Gusman, Aleksander Akopov, Vladimir Bershader, Marat Gelman, Iosif Bakshtein, Dmitry Khankin, Vladimir Ovcharenko, Aleksander Dobrovinsky, Yury Avvakumov, Lev Yevzovich, Eugeny Svyatsky, Paul Alezraa, director of Avesta Group, the members of the Kandinsky Prize jury: Vassily Tsereteli, David Thorpe, Maria Tsantsanoglu, Boris Manner — and many others.
