Anton Litvin
Born in 1967 in Moscow. Graduated from the Moscow Financial institute and began making contemporary art in 1990. In the mid-1990s, together with Bogdan Mamonov and Alexander Brener, created “Group Without a Name.” In the late 1990s, with Valery Aisenberg, Bogdan Mamonov and Liza Morozova, founded the ESCAPE Program. Long-listed for the Kandinsky Prize in the “Artist of the Year” (2007), “Media-Art” (2008) and “Project of the Year” (2010) nominations.
Hands free
The HANDS FREE project is a series of 16 bricks with engravings on one side. Each engraving is different but the overall theme is the same — the hands of a prison inmate reaching out from behind bars.
