artemenkoBorn in 1988 in Krasnodar, Russia. Graduated from the Kuban State University, department of journalism (2010). A student at the Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia (workshop – “New Media: Video and the art of new technologies”). Participates in national and international exhibitions of contemporary art. Lives and works in Moscow.

The “New” project is a computer program that generates new art manifestos in real-time, and which appear on a monitor attached to a wall. Each manifesto is printed and at the same time announced by the computer using a text-to-speech facility. The generator is based on 100 foundational art mani­festos of the 20th century that are sliced up and stitched together to create new ones. Artemenko’s project explores the ways of creating and evincing new ideas and trends in the art world (such as by negating old ideas, synthesis, mixing concepts and so on).
