Together with Igor Mezheritsky and Alexander Vilkin he founded the Prosthesis art group in April 2006. A finalist for the Kandinsky Prize 2008 in the Young Artist: Project of the Year category. Longlisted for Kandinsky Prize 2007 and 2010 in the same category. Lives and works in St. Petersburg.

The project “Revela2012” was created just before the world was expected to end in December 2012.
The series, comprised of eight large canvases, shows one version of the apocalypse. It is based on a vision beheld by the protagonist of the series, a 13-year-old boy under the influence of powerful psychotropic substances. The vision was revealed to him in the form of a small poem. Each line of the verse is shown in one of the pictures.
The artist, Grigory Yushchenko, is known for his projects dealing with social problems (“Advertising Drugs,” “Magic Psychedelic Police,” “Russian Devils” et al.) but with this project he turns away from hot topics in favor of poetically rethinking the destruction of human civilization. Nevertheless he also aims to express his complete and utter despair over the prospect of overhauling his country. There will be no revolution in Russia. There will be no democracy in Russia. In Russia there will be only apocalypse. “Revela2012” shows the best and most positive course for events to take.
