The winners of the 10th Anniversary Kandinsky Prize are Andrei Kuzkin, Taus Makhacheva, Victor Misiano

On December 14, 2016 the winners of the 10th annual Kandinsky Prize were announced in The Udarnik. The event also featured an exhibition of the finalists’ works.

The judges selected the winners in three nomination categories, Project of the Year, Young Artist. Project of the Year, and Scholarly Work. History and Theory of Contemporary Art. The winners are:

«Project of the year» – Andrei Kuzkin. Right to life

«Young Artist. Project of the year» – Super Taus (Taus Makhacheva). Untitled 2

«Scholarly work. History and theory of contemporary art» – Viktor Misiano (Russia). Vinogradov and Dubosarsky

The 2016 prize money stays the same: 1,800,000 rubles for the winner of the Project of the Year nomination category and 450,000 rubles for the Young Artist. Project of the Year winner, the third prize entitling the winner to get his/her work published in Russian or English as part of the Breus Publishing project (the Scholarly Work. History and Theory of Contemporary Art nomination category).
